"I wrote you a letter a day or two ago and today received yours of Dec. 28th. I will first answer your questions now as I will be pretty busy for the next week. Tuesday January 6th there will be a meeting of the State Historical Society in Lincoln which I will attend. Major Gordon W. Lillie (Pawnee Bill) is still Living at Pawnee Oklahoma I have known him for a great many years he was in partnership with Buffalo Bill in the wild West show for many years. he has a beautiful Ranche (sic) near Pawnee Oklahoma his home cost Seventy thousand dollars and I have been told he has it well stocked now he has a small herd of Buffalo on his Ranche (sic) I haven't seen him for three years but get letters from him every now and then. when Cody (Buffalo Bill) first started the Wild West Show in 1883 Pawnee Bill who was perhaps 14 years old brought the Indians up from Oklahoma to join the show but he had no interest in the Show until many years after. two years ago he built a Frontier Town on his place and people come from all over the United States to see it. You can tell Joe there is a Pawnee Bill and he is Very much alive I haven't time to write more."
Sincerily Your Friend
