Vivian began painting back in 1979 at the age of 63. By then she was in the early stages of Alzheimer's. Although she never had any formal training, Vivian continued to paint for several years there after. Unfortunately, as the disease began to take its toll, she did not remember that she was the creator of these beautiful works of art, and would often times ask her family "who had painted them"? She passed away in 1996 leaving a lifetime of memories, and a legacy captured on canvas.
